AUGUST 2014 - Kane Transport Receives Top Safety Honors
Alexandria, MN: Kane Transport Inc. Sauk Centre, MN received first place honors for the Minnesota Trucking Association's (MTA) 2014 Minnesota Motor Carrier Fleet Safety Contest. They achieved the best on-road safety record in the following category: Tank/Bulk: Over-the-Road.
Kane Transport Inc. and the other statewide winners were presented with safety awards at the 82nd Annual Conference in Alexandria, Minnesota in August. Kane Transport Inc. is a Minnesota based petroleum carrier providing hazardous materials and liquid bulk services to the Upper Midwest and Canada. The company currently has over 200 power units and 250 tankers available to serve the liquid bulk industry.
The safety awards are based on Minnesota mileage and accident statistics. The first place plaques are awarded to the company with the lowest accident frequency ratio in each of the 5 classes of competition. Classes of competition are divided by carrier type and mileage category. The award program is designed to recognize and encourage safety on the nation's highways.
